News and Doings, for The Garden of Succubus

those three servers suck the big one! HARD!
never a whole lot to report here... working on all the pages as usual, adding some things, updating some other things, that sort of nonsense. nothing unusual or even noteworthy. But, if it's new or improved, you'll see it first.
however, sometimes there are some things that just aren't working properly. When that happens, <and it will>, you will find the problem listed below in the Current List section. and then, when it is fixed, <if it ever is>, you will find that noted there as well.

February 2, 2249 R.E., added an on-line journal to the Sucubus's Bio page.
February 1, 2249 R.E., added the first Battle Report to the WarHAmmer 40,000 page. Incubus got his ass kicked!
January 28. 2249 R.E., added a new entertainment page called Fun_N_Games to the Deeper page, with several pages concerning the various and sundry games that we engage in during our leisure time, whatever that is.
January 25, 2249 R.E., the Succubus compleatly re-worked her Bio page.
January 25, 2249 R.E., Succubus had me pull the Source of the Succubus page from the OddShit page. If you knew the people involved and the political intrigue here, you'd understand why.
January 20, 2249 R.E., updated various page hit counters, adding to those that didn't have them and updating the Synopsis page... seems to be working okay.
January 16, 2249 R.E., as usual the Succubus has made a compleat pest of herself untill i added Midi Sound support to her Pink Floyd page, as well as a bunch of other pages which i won't list here... you'll just have to find them yourself, now won't you?
January 13, 2249 R.E., the Succubus is at it again... this time she added a new page of Queer links to the Rainbow page.
January 11, 2249 R.E., uploaded new rough Rune images to the Runes page on the Raven's Troth homepage.
January 11, 2249 R.E., added some new links on the Membership Roster from the Raven's Troth homepage. Go have a look... DO IT PUNK!
January 11, 2249 R.E., actually worked on the ScrapBook for the Raven's Troth homepage... even actually uploaded a couple snapshots for the ScrapBook. Edited the Site Map to reflect the change, too.
January 10, 2249 R.E., the Succubus got another wild hair up her ass and decided to play with the layout of the Odd Shit page... do you like it?
January 10, 2249 R.E., My Succubus added a new sweet little gothic page to the Deeper into the Garden page... added the new link to the Site Map page... moved some links around and added a bunch to the Gothic page... it's pretty hip... have a look if you dare...
January 08, 2249 R.E., added a NEW web hit synopsis page utilizing the new hit counters... maybe this one will work better than the last one did. also added it to the Site Map page.
January 08, 2249 R.E., added a new page counter, date, and time set to all the pages on the site... the original counter doesn't seem to work in the manner i need... so we're trying out a new one. we'll see if i'm happier with this one. Left the old counter on the pages as a sort of comparison.....
January 05, 2249 R.E., added a new Ode to Pink Floyd's The Wall link to the Deeper Into the Garden page. Also found a couple new HTML tricks to apply to links... you might not notice them but they're there. Not all are done yet, but we're working on it.
January 04, 2249 R.E., the Succubus got a wild hair up her ass and decided to re-arrange the appearance of the opening page to The Garden Of Succubus... added a few graphics and moved stuff around... Looks pretty good. makes mroe sense, too. if you're here, you've already seen it. E-Mail us and tell us if you like the changes or not.

January 3, 2249 R.E., fixed an error on the site map and added a link for some kind of a hit counter synopsis at a glance thing that i wrote today... it looks like it even works, too. be afraid... be very afraid.
January 2, 2249 R.E., finished adding web hit counters to all the pages. Missed 5 pages last time out, but i got them all this time.
January 2, 2249 R.E., placed web hit counters on all pages without them, ensured proper operation of all web hit counters, and updated News File page accordingly; also updated Site Map page with two new links from the Incubus page.

February 02, 2249 R.E., STILL nothing new to report. We are impressed. we're having te usual log-in difficulties, but the servers appear to be running flawlessly. untill further notice, there will be no new posts to this section unles something goes wrong.
January 18, 2249 R.E., nothing new to report. all seems well. we're all shocked... how long will the good fortune last?
January 11, 2249 R.E., our ISP service <the State University in our shitty little town> has announced openings in their Operations department for their servers... i wonder what that means? Too bad they won't hire THIS BOFH, huh?
January 3, 2249 R.E., received new missives from our Server Technicians... all servers are up and running properly, and no new outages or crashes are anticipated anytime in the near future. apparently the last crash was due to several servers simultaneously blowing out their power supplies. this has been addressed and they say it won't happen again... once more, people... ANY BETS?
December 31, 2248 R.E., New Policy: starting January 3, 2249 R.E., unless something actually happens and there are errors to report, this section will only be posted with new material once a week, hopefully every Sunday.
December 31, 2248 R.E., all still appears to be in order... any bets on how long it stays that way?
December 30, 2248 R.E., everything seems to be in order... mail server, WWW server, hit counter, links, all of it... no reported problems. rejoice now, it most likely won't last long.
December 29, 2248 R.E., our mail server appears to be returned to normal operation... maybe the techs over there really do know what they're doing... NOT!!! still, everything seems to be back to normal, whatever that means.
December 29, 2248 R.E., the web hit counter is back up and functioning properly. or at least it appears to be.....
December 28, 2248 R.E., Our E-mail server doesn't appear to be working very well, either, after the crash. Mail still arrives, but it's very slow and sometimes we can't log in to check new mail. maybe they'll fix it soon.
December 27, 2248 R.E., our web server crashed for some as yet unexplained reason. The technicians are still sorting it out, but in the meantime, the hit counter for our pages isn't working. again.

At the same time that the Server went down, one of our pages, the Deeper into the Garden page, was somehow damaged, in that all its contents were deleted, leaving the title and an empty document. again, the technicians seem unable to explain the problem or the cause. <anyone surprised by this?> The page has been re-created and repaired, but it's not quite the same. we're working on that. we're also still working out all the bugs from the crash and finding and correcting errors, so please bear with us.
If you see an error, or there is something on the pages not working properly, or broken links, please let us know so we can take care of the problem.
There have been other problems and technical difficulties previous to this posting, but we haven't really been taking notes or anything. however, from this point forward, any problems, new additions, new features, and anything else we feel appropriate, will be posted here as they happen.

And just as a final note, i wouldn't want anyone to think i had anything disparaging to say about our server or the service we receive from our ISP... after all, they do the best they can and they ARE a bunch of students learning how to run an Internet Service. There are some problems, obviously, but nothing we can't learn to live with and things are usually taken care of and fixed within a reasonable amount of time. they do the best they can, and that's all anyone can ask. besides, they run an affordable, mostly reliable service, and it's actually better than a lot of the professional services in our area. so overall, while we may badmouth them a bit and give them a hard time, they do a good job and we appreciate it. maybe they have a sense of humour too... if they ever read our web site, we'll certainly find out!
