BROOD WAR:

When last we left our hero friends, Tassadar had sacrificed himself in his kickass Ganthricor to assure the destruction of the Overmind.

We were left wondering what would become of infested Kerrigan, now "The Queen of Blades" and Jim Raynor, the good old boy.

When we return, we begin with the Protoss grieve the loss of Tassadar, but there are some other things going on. Like gathering what remains and trying to rebuild Aiur.

Kerrigan comes into the picture, seeming to have similar motives, but not without alterior ones.

While she starts out helping to gather some precious crystals, and kill off some remaining zerg, her betrayal and backstabbing comes out pretty quickly.

The order in which you play classes is different this time. First Protoss, then Terran, ending with Zerg.

Each class has two new characters.

For the Protoss, you have access to build dark templars, which you didn't before, and two of them can meld into one dark archon. A very nice character, with some interesting magic abilities, but no other attack methods.

Mind Control...he can turn enemies into friends. One nice tip, try capturing an enemie's peon. Now you have access to build a whole different army, all at your fingers.

You also have Corsairs. Nifty little ships which have the ability to freeze sunken colonies, and spore colonies for a while. Long enough for you to get some people in there and take them out without losing guys to those damn things.

They do have a self defense, but only for air attack.

The Terrans finally have a way to fix your injured men. Medics!! They also have the ability to blind observers, and restore units in lockdown or stasis.

Then there's the Valkyries. Female piloted aircraft that shoot 14 rockets at one time, but again...only at air targets.

The Zerg have two new units as well, but they are mutated from units you already have.

The hydralisks mutate into lurkers. Wicked little monsters that attack from under ground with a row of spikes. It's the ony way you can attack with them, but once they burrow, you're shit out unless you've got something that can see them.

And the mutalisks have a second mutation called the Devourer.

An air only weapon. A big blob that spits purple acid at it's targets. They slow down the enemie's ability to fire, and generally tick them off.

Aside from that, certain other units come with new upgrades. Like Goliaths missles have a longer range, Ultralisks will move faster, and have better armor. You'll see for yourself.

I'm looking forward to a StarCraft 2.

Dispense some indiscriminate justice!!
