Mission Statement
 
 
 As set  forth in the Article of Incorporation, FCNA was formed to assist refugees and immigrants to become self-sufficient, self fulfilled, and productive members of the community, while fostering cultural preservation and promoting cross-cultural understanding . 

  The organization has the following goals: 

1.     To provide education, vocational training, and employment services to refugees and 
        immigrants, particularly to those wit language and/or cultural barriers. 

2.     To provide health education to refugees and immigrants that will improve their quality of 
         life and help them understand preventive health care. 

3.     To provide refugees and immigrants with the social skills necessary to integrate into 
        American Society. 

4.     To serve as a liaison between the refugees and immigrants communities and various 
         local organization serving them, including social services, government agencies, civic 
         organizations, and schools. 

5.     To function as a source of information, referral, and guidance to refugees and migrants. 

6.     To promote a greater cultural preservation  among refugees and immigrants through 
        education and participatory activities related to traditional beliefs, customs, music, and 
        art. 

7.    To promote greater cultural awareness and understanding of refugees and immigrants 
       their various contributions to society through education and community sponsored 
       events. 

8.    To improve the condition of life for elderly refugees and immigrants through outreach 
       and social programs. 

9.    To serve and empower refugees and immigrants at risk youth by promoting 
       opportunities for achievement and success in the American education system.
